Santa Monica Spectrum Holds Gift Drive For Inner-City Youth:

A gift drive is being held at the Santa Monica Spectrum and the other Spectrums in the Los Angeles area.

Spectrum Athletic Club in Santa Monica and the greater Los Angeles area are teaming with the Hollenbeck Youth Center for its annual “Giving Tree.”

The public is invited to visit any of the health clubs and pick an ornament from the tree bearing the name and wish of an inner city youth whose family is unable to provide their children with gifts.

Gifts from the list can then be purchased and brought back to the club and volunteers from Hollenbeck Youth Center will distribute the gifts.

Non-members who donate to the gift drive will receive a three-day guest pass to Spectrum valued at $75.

The trees have been in place since Nov. 29 and all gifts must be delivered to Spectrum no later than Friday, Dec. 13.
