Santa Monica Nativity Scenes To Conclude Thursday, Jan. 2:

The 60th anniversary display of the Santa Monica Nativity Scenes will conclude Thursday

The 60th anniversary display of the Santa Monica Nativity Scenes will be available for viewing at Mount Olive Lutheran Church at 1343 Ocean Park Boulevard through sunset Thursday, Jan. 2.

The final nighttime lighted viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, New Year’s Day evening.

The display starts along Maple Street one block north of Ocean Park Boulevard west of 14th Street; it ends along 14th Street. Parking is available in the church lot off 14th Street.

Organizer urge motorists driving past the scenes to drive carefully through the neighborhood.

The Nativity Scenes Committee said it was deeply grateful to the people of Mount Olive Lutheran church for providing a home for the Nativity Scenes for this milestone display.

“If you have not yet made a financial donation and would be able to do so to meet expenses of putting up and taking down the scenes and for storage, publicity, insurance, and advertising, we would be most grateful,” the committee said in an email to supporters.

Donations (not tax deductible) may be made online at its website, www.SantaMonicaNativityScenes.org.
