The Santa Monica YMCA Fall 2014 youth basketball league is seeking volunteer coaches and paid game officials.

Applicants must be at least in high school for each position, and must meet with league director Peter Arbogast after calling 310.393.2721 ext. 137. Applicants must have knowledge of the game and a love of working with kids in a positive way.

Registration is underway and continues through Sept. 16 for the league, which plays in four skill based co-ed divisions from age 4-14.

Forms are available through local schools, at the YMCA at 1332 6th Street, and on line at ymcasm.org.

Players practice and play games indoors with trained coaches, get to keep their uniform, and have a post-season pizza party at which all participants receive awards.
