Football

Venice High defeated Palisades last Friday, 48-6. Venice will play at Fairfax Friday night and Palisades will be at University, which has a 6-0 record, at 3 p.m. After six weeks, no team in the Western League has a losing record.

Malibu High evened its record at 3-3 with a 34-7 win over Capistrano Valley Christian. Malibu will play at Chadwick Friday night.

Volleyball

Lighthouse of Santa Monica handed the New Roads girls their first loss in the Harbor League, 25-22, 25-16, 25-19.

Erin Wade and Lindsey Knox combined for seven blocks for New Roads and Erica Alvarez had four kills and three aces. Overall, New Roads has a 7-3 record.

Water PoloThe Santa Monica College women lost to El Camino, 8-5 in the Ventura Invitational.
