SMC To Celebrate International Education Week: festival, talk by swedish consul general is scheduled

Santa Monica College will celebrate International Education Week with a festival of food, music and dances from throughout the world and a talk by Swedish Consul General Tomas Rosander.

Both events are free and open to the public.

The festival will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, at the SMC Clock Tower, 1900 Pico Boulevard.

The Rosander talk is scheduled at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, November 17, in Room 214 of the Art Complex on the SMC campus. .

Dancers from the student troupe Folklórico de SMC will perform pieces from around the world. The festival will also feature international contemporary music favorites and edible treats from around the globe.

With more than 2,300 international students from 100-plus nations, SMC has one of the largest international student populations of any community college in the United States.
