On Thursday, November 3, 2005, at 7 p.m., Santa Exene Cervenka: In Performance at Bergamot Cafe. Cervenka will read selections from her book, A Beer on Every Page, unpublished writings from the 70s and early 80s, as well as new prose and poems. Exene Cervenka: America the Beautiful is currently on view at Santa Monica Museum of Art through November 26, 2005. Guest curated by Kristine McKenna and Michael Duncan, America the Beautiful is the first comprehensive museum exhibition of journals and mixed media collages dating from 1974 through 2005 by one of the founding members of the seminal Los Angeles punk group, X.
