TV Land Awards To Be Presented Tonight:

Betty White, Donny and Marie Osmond, “Parenthood,” “The Wonder Years,” “Ally McBeal” and “Freaks and Geeks” will be honored tonight at the TV Land Awards.

White will receive The Legend Award, honoring her more than 70-year career that has brought her seven Emmys and memorable roles on such series as “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “The Golden Girls” and “Hot in Cleveland.”

Donny and Marie Osmond will receive the Pop Culture Award for “their staying power in the cultural zeitgeist,” according to TV Land, for having music and comedy sketches from their 1976-79 ABC musical variety series “Donny and Marie” continued to be referenced.

“Parenthood,” the NBC family drama, will receive the Fan Favorite Award for being “an All-American classic and much loved by its fans,” according to TV Land. Its six-season run ended on January 29.

“The Wonder Years,” ABC’s nostalgic comedy about growing up in the late 1960s and early 1970s, will receive the Impact Award, which honors shows that have made a significant impression on American entertainment and culture. “The Wonder Years” ran from 1988 until 1993.

The 1997-2002 Fox comedy-drama “Ally McBeal” will receive the Groundbreaking Award for sparking conversation about cultural issues.

The comedy “Freaks and Geeks” which ran on NBC during the 1999-2000 season, will receive the 15th Anniversary Award. Its cast included such future stars as Seth Rogen and Jason Siegel.

The ceremony will also include a tribute to the late comedian Joan Rivers.

Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson will sing “Whatever Makes You Happy” from the Billboard-chart topping soundtrack of Fox’s hit hip-hop drama “Empire.”

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Terry Crews will host the ceremony at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. It will air next Saturday simultaneously on TV Land, Nickelodeon and NickMom.
