Zelda Fitzgerald, wife of novelist F. Scot Fitzgerald, wrote, trained as a ballet dancer, painted, and went mad, some said, because she was literally insanely jealous of her husband’s accomplishments. Some of her artworks, most of them, small scale gouache on paper, including her fairy tale illustrations, paper doll drawings, and images from a history (cardinals and kings), are on display in “Zelda By Herself” at the Frederick R. Weisman Gallery at Pepperdine University in Malibu, through December 18.
