Congestion Leaves Commuters Questioning Traffic Notification System:

Traffic

A two-lane closure left only one lane open yesterday on the southbound PCH beginning south of Santa Monica Canyon up to the California Incline.

This backed up commuter traffic north of Temescal Canyon Boulevard.

"I was waiting on the red light at Temescal and PCH at 9:28 a.m.  I did not get to the Calif. Incline until approx. 10 a.m.," commuter Will Mcguire told The Mirror.

The middle divider was not used as a lane as it has been in the past to accommodate the traffic.

There were no announcements made on the Santa Monica City website.
