Bumblebee Art in the City

Downtown commuters may have noticed a giant-sized reclining child adorning “Triangle Square” this week as the small grass-space on Colorado became the latest art-scaped corner of Santa Monica.

L.A.-based artist Bumblebee installed the work as part of a series that will feature four large-scale temporary installations simultaneously coupled with interventions and projections that will appear along Third Street Promenade, between Wilshire and Colorado.

The art is a programmatic partnership between the City of Santa Monica and Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. For more: smgov.net/arts.
