Santa Monica TV Wins Emmy:

Santa Monica TV (City TV), in conjunction with the Miles Memorial Playhouse, has won an L.A. Area Emmy for “Outstanding Achievement in Youth Programming.”

Downbeat Showdown #4 aired in March 2005. Robin Gee of City TV and Justin Yoffe of the City’s Cultural Affairs Department were executive producers. Al Johnson, an associate producer at City TV, and host Joe Hernandez-Kolski were also awarded Emmy Awards.

Earlier this year, Downbeat Showdown won first place in the performing arts category at the States of California and Nevada Chapter (SCAN) of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) Star Awards.
