Palisades Eliminated in Second Round:

Palisades High was eliminated from the LA City boys’ basketball playoffs in the second round by Poly, 60-58.

Poly then lost to Westchester, setting up a championship game Friday night, March 2, in the LA Sports Arena between Westchester and top-seeded Fairfax.

By reaching the semi-finals, all three teams earned berths in next week’s state tournament.

Palisades, the No. 6 seed in the City Tournament, finished the season with a 19-10 record.

The Dolphins used a full-court press to turn an 11-point deficit into a 55-49 lead with less than five minutes remaining but were outscored down the stretch.

Aaron Hawk-Harris led Palisades with 17 points and Ashton Roberts had 12.
