Samohi Softball Team Wins Three Of Four:

The softball season began for Santa Monica High with a 4-3 victory over Paramount.

Coach Debbie Skaggs’ team then encountered Torrance twice, losing 4-1, and winning, 4-3. Samohi then defeated Redondo, 1-0.

Hanna-Rose Peters was the starting pitcher all four times and had two complete games. She also leads the Vikings in batting at .444

Kylie Nakao is batting .385 and Haley Condon .333. Hailey Sheridan is the RBI leader with four.

New Roads was shut out by Beverly Hills, 8-0, and by Notre Dame Academy, 10-0.

Crossroads was defeated by Serra, 10-3, and then by Glendale Hoover, 8-1.

The opening softball game for Brentwood was a 7-2 win over Providence.
