Every Thursday This Summer, Indulge in a Foodie Paradise
The Bungalow Santa Monica has an all-ages food and drink extravaganza that kicked off on June 1 and continues every Thursday until August 31. From 5 pm to 11 pm, people who love food have an opportunity to taste some of Los Angeles’ most exciting food. They’ve done a great job of curating a list of some of the tastiest and most tempting treats for the whole family. There’s also a group at the Night Market that rescues dogs and places them with loving new owners, so you might find a new friend if you go.
The Bungalow is a restaurant from Brent Bolthouse, and it’s great that they are using their restaurant to give Santa Monica a taste of pop-ups from all over Los Angeles.
Personally, I can vouch for Quarantine Pizza Co. They make some really good pizza and have never done a pop-up on the Westside before. Normally, they have residencies in Lincoln Heights at Benny Boy Brewery and at Frogtown Brewery. They make Sicilian square slices, full round Neapolitan pies, and occasionally have desserts. They are recommended.
Also, a tenth vendor canceled yesterday, and, no doubt, it is one of the most anticipated restaurants in Los Angeles. Their pop-up is to be rescheduled, so keep an eye out.
This week’s vendors at the Night Market are:
Bootsy’s BBQ – Certified smoked meat specialist. Guaranteed to #hitemwitdasmoke
Chimmelier – Fried Chicken and Wings From Koreatown. They call themselves a Fried Chicken Sommeliers.
Gooey Center – “LA’s Best Cinnamon Rolls”
The Ice Guys – Handcrafted Rolled Gelato
Lei’d Cookies – Handmade Cookies That I Can Also Vouch For. They were served warm. They sold out early the last two times they were at this Night Market.
Oysters From Fig – Oysters!
Quarantine Pizza Co. – They’re really good!
The Steamin’ Burger – From San Francisco and LA, home of the jalapeno stuffed burger
Tacos 1986 – You know who they are already; they will be there with tacos.
