Gwyneth Paltrow Puts Santa Monica Childhood Home on Market

Remodeling Has Been Carried Out, Incorporating Solar Panels, Backup Generators and Security Cameras

As a busy mother and business owner, Academy award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow listed her childhood home in Santa Monica for sale, Luxuo reported.

The mansion, where Gwyneth grew up, is being offered at a price of $17.5 million. Extensive remodeling has been carried out on the house, incorporating technological features, such as solar panels, backup generators, security cameras, and electronically guarded entries.

The 6,887-square-foot house boasts six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. The formal glass-enclosed foyer provides access to the large living area with a fireplace, the theater room, and the guest bedroom. The chef’s kitchen is spacious and well-lit, equipped with a dining space, central marble island, and Wolf and Sub-zero appliances.

The nearly half-acre property features stunning grounds resembling a tropical wonderland, adorned with winding walks, fountains, mature trees, palms, two fire pits, numerous outdoor entertaining spaces, and a pool and spa with Balinese influences. Additionally, a two-story guesthouse with an office, bedroom, sauna, gym, and kitchen complements the estate.

The three-vehicle garage has been designed as a glass-walled showcase, perfect for automobile enthusiasts. The entire estate is gated, providing privacy and tranquility, catering to the discerning demands of VIP buyers. Originally developed by the company King Gillette, known for making razor blades, the Gillette Regent Square community in Santa Monica is recognized for its larger residences, mature street trees, and its proximity to Palisades Park overlooking the Pacific Ocean, making it a desirable area within the beloved Los Angeles beach city.

Nearby entertainment options include the Riviera Country Club, the Brentwood Country Club, and the eateries and stores of the Brentwood Country Mart. The location also offers convenient access to Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, and other attractions throughout LA via the freeway.

The listing for this property is represented by Robert Lawrence Edie of Compass.
