Harbor Defeats Winless SMC:

The Santa Monica College football team lost its sixth straight game Saturday, October 13 at Harbor, 37-13.

SMC won the Western State Conference Southern Division championship four seasons ago. Since then the Corsairs have had records of 1-9, 2-8, and now 0-6.

A highlight of Saturday’s game for SMC was the kicking of Fernando Espinosa, who had two field goals.

SMC began the season by losing to San Diego Mesa, 48-27. Then it was Orange Coast (28-18), Glendale (31-12), Citrus (13-7), and Pierce (42-22).

SMC will be home Saturday, October 20 against Moorpark at 7 p.m.
