Caltrans Will Pave, Restripe, and Repair Fire-Damaged Sections, With Single-Lane Closures and Reduced Speed Limits
Motorists traveling through Malibu and Pacific Palisades this week should prepare for significant nighttime lane closures as Caltrans continues repair and repaving work on Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1) and Topanga Canyon Boulevard (State Route 27).
Beginning Monday, Sept. 29, through Wednesday, Oct. 1, crews will reduce PCH to one lane in each direction south of Big Rock Drive between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The work will include paving, restriping, lane shifts, and installation of k-rail barriers. Caltrans noted that closures are weather-dependent and subject to change. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
