Mud, Rocks and Debris Have Shut Down SR-27 Between PCH and Grand View Drive
Topanga Canyon Boulevard remains closed to through traffic as crews continue to assess storm-related damage along the roadway, officials said.
The California Department of Transportation said State Route 27 is shut down between Pacific Coast Highway and Grand View Drive until further notice. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.
Photos released by transportation officials show mud, rocks and debris covering portions of the roadway within the closure area. The damage followed recent storm activity that left hillsides saturated and unstable.

Officials urged drivers to exercise caution when traveling during stormy conditions and to plan ahead before heading into the area.
Road status updates are available through Caltrans’ QuickMap at quickmap.dot.ca.gov.
No estimate has been provided for when the roadway will reopen.
