Pavement rehabilitation project includes K-rail installation and electrical work through March 14.
Caltrans will implement overnight lane reductions and ramp closures along Interstate 405 through the Sepulveda Pass starting Monday, March 9, for K-rail installation and electrical work as part of a $143.7 million pavement rehabilitation project.
The restrictions will occur from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through Saturday, March 14, affecting multiple segments between Van Nuys and Westwood. Planned impacts include:
– Up to two lanes closed on northbound I-405 between Wilshire Boulevard and Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive.
– Full closure of the northbound off-ramp to Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive.
– Up to two lanes closed on northbound I-405 between Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive and Sepulveda Boulevard.
– Up to two lanes closed on southbound I-405 between Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive and Wilshire Boulevard.
– Up to two lanes closed on southbound I-405 between U.S. 101 and Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive.
The project aims to improve safety, mobility and pavement longevity along the 10-mile corridor.
