A new all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue restaurant is set to open in downtown Santa Monica this week, adding to the area’s growing dining scene near the city’s popular retail and tourism corridor.

The Moo Korean BBQ is scheduled to open Friday at 5:30 p.m. at 231 Arizona Ave., just steps from the Third Street Promenade.

The restaurant will feature a tabletop grilling format, where diners cook their own selections, with an all-you-can-eat menu priced at about $50 per person. The offerings include a wide range of meats such as beef brisket, ribeye, marinated short ribs, pork belly, spicy pork bulgogi and marinated chicken.

Seafood options like shrimp, Cajun-style shrimp and baby octopus are also available, along with a variety of traditional Korean dishes and sides. These include kimchi fried rice, japchae (glass noodles), ramen, soy bean stew and kimchi stew.

The menu also features appetizers and shareable plates such as gyoza, fried calamari, spring rolls and Korean-style fried chicken, as well as side dishes like steamed egg, corn cheese, vegetables and house-made banchan. A lunch menu with a smaller set of grilled protein options is also planned.

The opening follows a series of preview events for friends and family earlier in the week as the restaurant finalized preparations.

Operators say the concept is designed as a high-energy, social dining experience where customers cook food at their tables. The restaurant was developed by the team behind another Westside Korean barbecue concept in nearby Marina del Rey.

After opening day, the restaurant plans to operate daily from noon to 10 p.m.
