First Fund-Raiser for Safety Harbor Kids:

The Malibu Inn was the scene of the first fund-raiser put on by Safety Harbor Kids, a local charity that benefits homeless kids and orphans.

Headliners were Little Feat guitarists Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett, while Freebo and the Safety Harbor Traveling Band with Richie Hayward also performed. Santa Monican Jackson Browne, no stranger to benefit performances, was the event’s special guest.

Money raised will go towards the Safety Harbor Kids Music and the Arts Program.

The nonprofit Safety Harbor Kids helps homeless children and orphans develop and realize their personal goals so they can stop the cycle of homelessness, poverty, and prison.
