Founder Zach Liporace transitions from San Vicente Boulevard to the former B&T’s Deli space.
The sad news is that Pop’s Bagels closed their Brentwood location, at 11928 San Vicente, on April 30 after five years, but in a video message on the bagel company’s Instagram page, owner
Zach Liporace let customers know that while the Pop’s Bagels first brick and mortar store was closing, it wouldn’t be long before they opened up a new store close by.
Liporace noted that the three other locations, Culver City, Fairfax, and Beverly Hills, would not have been possible without the experiences and the support of the Brentwood community. He stated that Pop’s hoped to find another spot in the Brentwood area in the future.
The good news is that Pop’s Bagel has opened their brand new bagel shop on Montana Boulevard in Santa Monica, which isn’t very far from Brentwood at all, as of May 15. They took over the former B&T’s Deli space at 912 Montana Avenue and the new location is about a five minute drive from Brentwood.
Pop’s Bagels started as a pop-up where Liporace would bake each bagel one at a time in a mini oven that people happily waited in line for after he crafted his own bagel recipe as a reaction to never finding the perfect bagel that he sought in Los Angeles.
