Santa Monica College students will showcase selections from the musical theater genre in a revue titled “Great Adventure” this weekend.
The Santa Monica College Musical Theatre Workshop will present performances on Friday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 6 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, June 7 at 2 p.m. All shows will be held in the Studio Stage at the SMC Theatre Arts Complex on the main campus at 1900 Pico Blvd.
Directed by SMC Theatre Arts faculty member Aric Martin and musically directed by SMC Music faculty member Megan Gillespie, the production features SMC students performing solos, duets and ensemble numbers spanning a range of musical theater styles.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased online at smc.edu/tickets or by calling 310-434-3005. Same-day tickets will be available at the Theatre Arts Box Office starting 45 minutes before each performance. Free parking is available on campus. Seating is first-come, first-served with no late seating.
