The weekly morning pop-up brings elite Eastside tortillas to Westside diners for a limited time.

HiHo Cheeseburger has answered the call of the many Breakfast Burriho fans who have hoped that the tasty pastrami burrito might be brought back as a menu item rather than just a pop-up offering. Your wishes have been granted, but only at one specific HiHo Cheeseburger location.

The Marina del Rey location, where the Breakfast Burriho first appeared, will be selling the burrito made with pastrami crafted from 100% grass-fed Wagyu from First Light Farms, soft scrambled eggs, melted cheese, spicy slow-cooked onions, and crispy HiHo fries starting on Saturday, July 18.

You will now be able to purchase a Burriho, which will be sold from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or until it sells out, every Saturday until Labor Day. Accompanying the new menu item will be canned cold brew from Rise Coffee, in the original black coffee and oat milk vanilla latte varieties.

There is one more surprise, and that is going forward, the flour tortillas that hold all the delicious ingredients in will be the Mejorada tortillas from Burritos La Palma. Burrito connoisseurs will be very pleased by this development, as Burritos La Palma are burrito experts whose lovingly crafted meals are agreed to be some of the best made in Southern California.

It is a great way to be able to taste these great tortillas, and a great tortilla makes for an even better burrito, since Burritos La Palma’s locations are a bit far from the Westside, in Boyle Heights, Costa Mesa, El Monte, and Highland Park. No shade to Sonoratown, which also makes fantastic tortillas, but these are harder to get on the Westside.
