One person is dead after an overnight shooting in a Santa Monica beach parking lot.
Detectives are searching for suspects after a shooting that took place overnight in a beachside parking lot left one person dead early Monday morning.
Santa Monica Police Department officers discovered an adult victim with multiple gunshot wounds after responding to reports of gunfire at 1550 Pacific Coast Highway, in Parking Lot One North, around 12:30 a.m. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but the victim died at the scene.
Investigators believe a fight broke out between two groups just before the shots were fired. Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased, pending family notification.
No suspect descriptions are currently available, and no arrests have been made.
