Don’t miss your chance to see rising star pianist Steven Vanhauwaert take the stage with the Santa Monica Symphony – for free – at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

Join the Santa Monica Symphony for its final concert of the season this Saturday, May 26, featuring Nicolai’s Overture from The Merry Wives of Windsor, Grieg’s Piano Concerto, and Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 (“Rhenish”).

UCLA Professor of Musicology Raymond Knapp will give a pre-concert talk on the repertoire beginning at 6:30 p.m. The concert will officially start at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will honor retiring Grant Elementary School Principal Al Friedenberg, a longtime Symphony supporter.

Admission is free and groups, school-age children, and families are especially welcome.

The Santa Monica Civic Auditorium is located at 1855 Main Street in Santa Monica.
