Two-Day ‘Gifted’ Craft-Style Market Comes To Santa Monica Pier This Weekend:

A unique two-day craft-style market comes to the Santa Monica this weekend at the perfect time to check that list twice and shop for one-of-a-kind items plus enjoy all of the other attractions and amenities the Pier has to offer.

The event, called GIFTED: A holiday market for uncommon goods is an intimate pop-up retail experience consisting of artisan and craft booths providing unique holiday gifts as an alternative to mainstream retail, according to Santa Monica Pier Corporation’s Director S. Jay Farrand.

It will take place on Saturday Dec. 15 from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Central Plaza. A DJ will play on Saturday evening and ambient music will fill the air during other market hours.

The Pier’s Central Plaza location, located between Starline Tours and PierBurger, will be transformed into a market influenced by Asian night markets that meld three all-time favorites — food, shopping, and entertainment; including communal picnic table, DIY gift wrapping station and holiday lights.

The world-famous Santa Monica Pier offers a variety of entertainment and shopping including Pacific Park amusement park, Heal the Bay Aquarium, a historic 1922 operating Carousel plus specialty shops/carts, eateries, and several full-service restaurants.

The Pier is open year-round, and parking is available for a fee on a first come, first served basis.
