Channel One Stages Concert on Pier:

Channel One News, which broadcasts in schools, and Wrigley’s Juicy Fruit honored 10 teens from around the country who are making a difference in their communities at the “Channel One News In Concert Beach Party” with Relient K on the Santa Monica Pier Tuesday, April 26.

Winners were flown to Los Angeles with a friend and guardian for Relient K’s performance. Channel One News also taped its daily news broadcast for middle and high school students on the pier.

The day’s broadcast was taped prior to the 4 p.m. concert.

Following the concert, the students met Relient K.

In its 15th year, Peabody Award-winning Channel One News is the leading source of news and information for young people, with an average rating over 20 times that of MTV.
