Commercial real estate attorney Stanley Epstein has signed on to help the Santa Monica Coalition for a Livable City.
Epstein, whose areas of expertise include the development, leasing, financing and management of regional shopping centers, has represented such clients as Federated (owner of Macy’s and now in the process of acquiring Robinsons-May), Penney, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, supermarket chains and a number of the country’s leading shopping center developers and owners, including a partnership with Westcor, now owned by Macerich, the current owner of Santa Monica Place.
Epstein moved from New York to Santa Monica in 2002 to be closer to his family. Since then, he has participated in major class actions on behalf of consumers and small investors.He said that he looked forward to helping Santa Monica residents by ensuring that Macerich and the City produce a plan for the redevelopment of Santa Monica Place that is in the public’s interest.
