Santa Monica Place, part of the Macerich (NYSE:MAC) portfolio of one-of-a-kind retail properties in top markets, is introducing a new digital Shopper Rewards program. Participating shoppers earn credit for their purchases, $10 for every $250 they spend, at Santa Monica Place.
Shoppers simply sign up through a one-stop process at the mall website or at special kiosks on property and register a credit or debit card. Anytime shoppers use their registered cards to shop at the center, they earn rewards that appear as cash-back credits on their statements. The new Shopper Rewards program launched on Sept. 7.
“This new program really is so easy for our shoppers and initial sign-ups have been very strong,” said Julia Ladd, Assistant Vice President, Property Management, Santa Monica Place. “There are no coupons, no need to show receipts, it’s all automatic. We think this is the essence of what a shopper loyalty program should be – effortless and truly rewarding.”
Macerich is partnering with Chicago-based Spring Rewards, an expert technology partner with loyalty programs like this one at many shopping centers and other businesses across the country.
In the program, shoppers receive real-time notifications about their status toward cash-back rewards, as well as instant access to special promotions by email. Rewards are delivered as credits on registered card accounts, usually within 3-5 days.
