The Doors 40th Anniversary Celebration,

November 8, 6-11pm

If you’re a Doors fan, (and really, who isn’t?), then this highly anticipated event is definitely for you!  The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be conferring landmark status on the Whiskey A Go Go, the legendary Sunset Strip nightclub where the Doors first gained notoriety.  The Hall of Fame will also be revealing a teaser version of the Doors exhibit that will be the museum’s major presentation for 2007.

The evening will feature a memorial reading of Jim Morrison’s poetry by Perry Farrell and other notable guests, the debut of a retrospective coffee table book and a preview of the soon-to-be-released and re-mastered massive boxed set of their music.  Many celebs will be on hand – most importantly the Doors remaining members, Robby Krieger, John Densmore and Ray Manzarek.

Make certain to head on over to the “Strip” early, otherwise you may have a problem “breaking on through” the Sunset Blvd. rush-hour traffic.
