Perhaps your pride and joy could be the next big thing like Matt Groening of Simpsons fame or Stephen Hillenburg, creator of SpongeBob SquarePants.

If you’re not familiar with Odetta, you certainly should be. She’s sung for presidents, walked arm-in-arm with great civil rights leaders and influenced icons such as Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and Joan Baez. Born Odetta Gordon, this tremendously gifted vocalist and guitarist’s sound is a mixture of Country Blues along with various types of folk. With seminal releases such as At the Gate of Horn and Sometimes I Feel Like Cryin’, Odetta showcases her superlative ability to interpret the American folk song.
