The girls’ basketball teams from Santa Monica High and Brentwood School easily advanced in the first round of the CIF playoffs Saturday, February 17, but St. Monica was eliminated.
Samohi won a home game from Marina High of Huntington Beach, 70-47. The Ocean League champions’ next opponent will be Chaminade.
