McKeon To Head Sports Program At Palisades High:

Rich McKeon has become the athletic director at Palisades High.

McKeon was once at Hamilton High but has been at Taft High for 20 years, including 13 as baseball coach.

He succeeds David Keese, who retired in May.

One of McKeon’s tasks will be to hire a baseball coach. Tom Seyler was recently removed from that duty in the aftermath of a playoff game in which Palisades pitchers hit seven Chatsworth High batters.

Seyler has remained at the school in another capacity.         Palisades won the Western League championship each of the last four years and went 15-0 in league games this season.
