Police Look for Sexual Assualt Suspect: Ride-By-Grabber Has Assualted Three

The Santa Monica Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in three sexual assaults.

The suspect rides his bicycle next to the victims. As he passes the victims, then grabs their buttocks, breast or genital area. The suspect is described as (see artist’s sketch) a Latin man, 20- to 30-years-old, 5’8”, 180 pounds, unshaven, wearing a short-sleeved chef’s coat, and pants with a small black and white checkered pattern. The suspect was possibly riding a ten-speed bicycle.

The assaults occurred:

• June 22, 2010 at 4:09 p.m. in the area of 14th and Santa Monica Blvd (two victims).

• June 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the area of 2nd and Strand.
