First Private Bank Cuts The Ribbon:

Santa Monica Mayor Pro Tem Herb Katz, Councilmember Pam O’Connor, and Chamber of Commerce Chairman Tom Larmore were on hand Tuesday morning, September 25, to help First Private Bank & Trust cut the ribbon on its new Santa Monica location on the ground floor at 520 Broadway.

The relocation from 720 Wilshire Boulevard “provides FPB&T clients with a larger and more improved facility to better serve their private and business banking needs,” the company said. “This location also is conveniently situated in the same office building as the Bank’s Wealth Management & Trust Services group located on the 6th floor,” it added.

First Private primarily focuses on wealthy individuals, families, and foundations in the greater Los Angeles area. It is a member of the Boston Private Wealth Management Group, which has more than $32 billion in managed or advised client investments in six regions across the United States.

Richard Lawrence, Regional Manager for the Santa Monica office, said, “With our new office, First Private Bank & Trust demonstrates its commitment to our Westside Los Angeles area clients and to the City of Santa Monica. We are one of only a very few financial institutions with a substantial presence here in the City of Santa Monica delivering not only private banking expertise but wealth management and trust services.”

In April of this year, First Private announced the formation of a strategic relationship with Wilshire Funds Management, a business unit of Santa Monica-based Wilshire Associates to provide investment services to First Private customers. (Santa Monica Mirror, April 19-25, 2007.)
