The Ditty Bops

March 1, 8 p.m. & 10:30 p.m., $20

McCabe’s, 3101 Pico Boulevard, 310.828.4497

Between May and September of 2006, the Ditty Bops opted to tour the country by bicycle, riding over 4,500 miles between Los Angeles and New York. Then, in 2007, the duo of Amanda Barrett and Abby DeWald played in a series of American farms, all the while raising money for various agricultural charities. With the band’s latest album, Summer Rains, due March 1, one cannot help but wonder what the girls who combine bluegrass, ragtime, and other American-bred genres will do next. In the meantime, though, catch the Ditty Bops at McCabe’s.
