Baseball Roundup:

New Roads has one of the most explosive offenses on the Westside this season although the Jaguars have lost some high-scoring games.

 New Roads was defeated by New Community Jewish Center, 10-9, and Viewpoint, 12-11, before beating Liberty Christian, 12-11, and losing to Eastside Christian, 17-7.

 George Wasserman is hitting .500, followed by Alex Vibiano at .444 and Erik Scott at .417.

 The Crossroads baseball team was active last week, playing three times during spring break. And even though the Roadrunners lost each game they gained experience for their upcoming league schedule.

 The team coached by Matt Amido was defeated by St. Joseph of Santa Maria, 4-2, by Santa Ynez, 14-1, and by Morro Bay, 15-10.

 Crossroads’ record is now 4-6.

 St. Monica competed in the St. Paul Easter Tournament. The Mariners lost to Del Oro of Loomis, 8-4, defeated Cabrillo of Long Beach, 9-2, and lost to Cantwell, 12-2.
