Treesavers are needed to speak in favor of the creation of a new and community- inclusive Santa Monica Tree Commission. City staff will be making a report on that issue at the public meeting of the Santa Monica Recreation and Parks Commission, Thursday, January 15, 7:30 p.m., Ken Edwards Center, 1527 Fourth Street. Treesavers are also prearing to protest the destruction of the Olympic Boulevard Coral trees if the Expo Authority and Metro Board decide to run the Expo Line on Olympic rather than Colorado. The environmental report will be out on Monday, Jan. 12 for needed public comment. Their website is buildexpo.org
