Senior guard Corey Walker was named Most Valuable Player of the 2010 Santa Monica High boys basketball team at a season-ending banquet at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Santa Monica.
James Montgomery was named Defensive Player of the Year and Solomon Singer the best rebounder.
Coach James Hecht’s undefeated Ocean League champions went on to reach the CIF finals and won one game in the state tournament.
The Sixth Man award went to Jovan Maze, Outstanding Team Play to Harry Horn and Rookie of the Year to Trey Thompson.
Alex Sephus won the Sportsmanship Award, Asante Lewis Most Inspirational Player, Leo Mancinu Mr. Hustle, Jared Green the Viking Bench basketball Award and Danilo Toskovic the Coaches Award.
ESPN Sportscenter anchor Neil Everett was the guest speaker.
