405 Freeway Closing in Los Angeles Will Cause More Traffic in Santa Monica: Local Impacts of Carmagedon

July 18. It will be closed northbound from Interstate 10 to U.S. 101 freeway and southbound from the U.S. 101 to Getty Center Drive.

With the 405 freeway closed from Friday evening through Monday morning, the City of Santa Monica want their residents to stay in town and stock up on the necessary items to get through the weekend.

The freeway will be closed while construction adds another carpool lane.
