Doors Open to Argentine Tango in Downtown Santa Monica: Tango Lessons for Beginners Every Sunday

Instructors Lily Panayotti and Monica Orozco open the doors to the Hosteling International in Downtown Santa Monica every Sunday for lessons in Argentine Tango.

For two and a half years, Lily Panayotti has taught anyone interested about Argentine Tango at the Hosteling International.

Now, with the help of Monica Orozco, an instructor for 25 years, they practice every Sunday afternoon with the doors open to guests.

While many passers-by are intrigued and always look in for a few minutes to see the steps and spectacle of the dancers, not many are daring enough to try it.

Panayotti said they welcome anybody willing to try the Tango.

Tango lessons run from 2p.m. to 6 p.m. every Sunday at Hosteling International, 1436 2nd Street in Downtown Santa Monica.

For more information, contact Lily at (310) 430-4887 or Monica at her website.
