Santa Monica Halloween Happenings 2011:

Halloween is here and there are plenty of happenings around Santa Monica today through Monday. For any missed events, please feel free to post details in the comment section at the bottom of this page.

Friday, October 28

Halloween Haunted House at the YWCA, age appropriate spooks and scares from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission includes the Haunted House, spooky snacks, treats, games, a maze, balloons, crafts, face painting and a costume parade for the wee ones. 4th Annual Howl-O-Ween Bash, will be held at Healthyspot at 7 p.m. with gift bags for the first 100 dogs, costume contests for best dressed dog, owner, and pair. Halloween Hullabaloo, the Santa Monica Playhouse Family Theatre Musical Matinee Series concludes this magical, musical fairytale journey up and down memory lane, exploring Halloween through the ages. 6th Annual Dusk-To-Dawn Horrorthon, spend all night at the Aero Theatre’s sixth annual Horrorthon complete with between-film free food, giveaways, trailers, crazy shorts and surprises starting from 7:30 p.m. General $20, Student/Senior $18, Members $15 – includes all-night snacks. Soul Sessions: Halloween Edition, local Santa Monica dance collective, Soul Lab Dance Project, presents Soul Sessions that helps supports Soul Lab Dance Project. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be live music, dance and poetry, homemade Brazilian food and drinks, raffle and costume contest (with prizes), pumpkin carving-workshops with master sculptor Roger Stoller. 4th Annual Montana Avenue Halloween Hop, provides a safe and fun way for families to parade on Montana Ave from Sixth to 17th streets and show off their Halloween costumes while getting treats from participating businesses from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. montanaave.com

Halloween Celebration at The Market, visit Santa Monica Place for a family-friendly Halloween pre-party before sundown.
