‘Seussical’ At Santa Monica’s Morgan-Wixson Theatre Nov. 12 To Dec. 17:

Santa Monica’s Morgan-Wixson Theatre Youth Education/Entertainment Series will present its 16th Annual Youth Musical “Seussical” starting this Saturday, Nov. 12 through Dec. 17, 2011.

The public is invited to join in for the adventures of Horton the Elephant, along with a host of characters from Dr. Seuss’s beloved classics, such as The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, The Whos down in Whoville and Circus McGurkus.

If you believe in helping a friend, in not giving up, in keeping a promise and the power of pure imagination, this is the show for you and your whole family.

“Seussical” is a musical based on the works of Dr. Seuss, with music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

“Seussical” is co-conceived by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty and Eric Idle, and is directed/music directed by Anne Gesling, director of last year’s Los Angeles World Premier and sold out audience musical sensation

“Seussical” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.

This program was made possible in part by a grant from the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Arts Commission.

Reserved seats are available for $15 online at https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/cal/1221 or call the box office at 310.828.7519.

Performances will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. There will be no performance on Dec. 11.
