On Friday, Dec. 16, at 8:40 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were on patrol in the area of Pico Boulevard and Lincoln Boulevard when they spotted a man riding his bicycle on the sidewalk without a headlight. When the officers stopped this man, they discovered he was a fugitive burglar from Pennsylvania. While the officers searched him, he told the officers he had a fixed blade knife concealed in his waistband. The officers took note of this as they continued to search him, and eventually looked into the man’s backpack where they found several burglary tools. The officers arrested this 26-year-old man of no fixed abode, and he was charged with possession of a concealed weapon, possession of burglary tools, and being a fugitive from justice. Bail was not granted.
