On Saturday, Dec. 24, at 12:55 p.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were traveling in the 400 block of Wilshire Boulevard when they saw a vehicle driving Eastbound with an inoperable front headlight.
The officers followed the vehicle and quickly became aware that it was weaving between lanes, so they stopped the vehicle in order to shed some light on the matter.
The officers spoke with the female driver and detected alcohol on her breath and she was asked to exit the vehicle. She was asked if she had been drinking, and she said that she had been about an hour earlier and she was given field sobriety tests, which she failed.
She was arrested and taken to Santa Monica jail, where she was charged with giving false information as well as DUI. The bail for the 29-year-old Granada Hills resident was set at $15,000.
