The Mirror Launches Weekly Show This Monday At 9 a.m.:

The Mirror’s new weekly “Santa Monica Beat” show will be anchored by Julie Garcia. Tune in at 9 a.m. on Monday morning for the first episode.

With the arrival of 2012, The Mirror is pleased to announce it has relocated its office to Ocean Park Boulevard, a move which coincides with the of launch of its new weekly video show set to begin this Monday, Jan. 9.

Publisher TJ Montemer said the weekly show would run for five minutes and feature local news and events in one minute slots.

He said the weekly show would supplement The Mirror’s daily news videos that are uploaded to smmirror.com.

“With four or five newscasts each month, The Mirror will alternate between covering current events, entertainment, local business, and youth,” Montemer said. “Current Events will feature political figures and city council decisions along with community fundraisers; Entertainment will feature music, movies, and celebrity news; Local Business will feature interviews with business owners as well as tours of stores and restaurants; and Youth will involve events that are important to the community’s children.”

Montemer said the weekly show would appear on its website every Monday morning.

“These videos will be of the highest quality, as is the standard of the videos posted by The Mirror,” he said. “These specific videos will be comparable to all of the local L.A. stations, but the news will be strictly Santa Monica. Once the word gets out about this new way to get the news from the community, residents will look forward to Mondays.”

The Mirror’s new office is located at 3435 Ocean Park Blvd. Suite 210, Santa Monica 90405.
