The Santa Monica YMCA needs volunteer coaches and paid game officials for the upcoming fall 2012 youth basketball season.
Head coaching applicants must be at least 18 years of age and submit to a detailed background check, while assistant coaches may be younger than 18.
Game officials are paid $10 per game and while no experience is needed, knowledge of the game and a desire to have fun while working with youth is a must.
Registration is underway now through Sept. 12 online and in person for the Co-ed recreational league that runs mid-September through early December in divisions for ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-11.
