The City of Santa Monica awarded a bid to Rosemead Oil Products, Inc. on Tuesday, Oct. 23 in the amount of $266,000 for the purchase and delivery of motor oil (recycled and new), automatic transmission fluid, and other lubricants to the Big Blue Bus and City Fleet Management Division.
It is a term of one year with two additional one-year renewal options for a total amount not to exceed $811,300.
The purchase was one of several consent calendar items that did not requiring extensive discussion by City Council members.
Other bids awarded on Oct. 23 as part of the consent calendar were:
— King Lee technologies, in an amount not to exceed $185,000 for one year for the purchase and delivery of reverse osmosis antiscalant chemicals at the Arcadia Water Treatment Plant, with two one-year renewal options, for an amount not to exceed $555,000.
— Gemini Forest Products, in an amount not to exceed $35,000 for the purchase of lumber for the Santa Monica Pier, with two one-year renewal options for a total amount not to exceed $115,000.
— Bound Tree Medical, LLC, in the amount of $100,000 for the purchase and delivery of Fire Department medical supplies for the first year with two additional one-year renewal options, with a possible 5 percent manufacturer’s price increase per year, for a total amount not to exceed $315,250.
