A woman who was causing a disturbance by throwing glass bottles at a parking lot, yelling profanities, and threatening to start a fire was arrested in Santa Monica on Sunday, Oct. 28.
Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called to the parking lot at 1554 18th Street at 7:31 a.m. to investigate reports of a woman out of control.
When the officers arrived they detained this 45-year-old homeless woman and began to evaluate her health and state of mind.
As the officers were evaluating her, she kicked one of them in the upper thigh.
The officers responded to this by arresting her and she was charged with battery on a police officer, obstructing a police officer, and a violation of parole.
The bail for this woman was set at $20,000.
